I N T E N T I O N M O R S E L

How they miss
these creatures winged
sharp predatory hawk
the clever crow

down here in grains
and stones
the route of caravans
oasis dates
and sleeping palms

this dreaming breadth
streaming visage
sling the voyage
and each camel stride
can see far
into nights side

dung fires dance
hot tea and bitter
cigarettes
cold spirits prowl
alive as the stars

alive as you and me

as far as I wander
I feel you about me
fair and complex
noble and tragic

if I return
we shall pluck
sassy notions
and tea with
fresh cream

scorpion swift
these chill of dreams

restless as hunger

sassy notions

wonderful as always, Esker. I hope one day you'll post a Spoken word poem so I can hear you :) Kelsey "In criticism I will be bold, and as sternly, absolutely just with friend and foe. From this purpose nothing shall turn me." -Edgar Allan Poe "If technique is of no interest to a writer, I doubt that the writer is an artist." -Marianne Moore
