FLOWERS OF WISDOM

"FLOWERS OF WISDOM" Ann 22nd June 2010.

Flowers of wisdom spring up unawares,

when the mind is still and contemplates the whole,

all life its myriad facets giving joys and sorrows,

many,

like the glinting ripples on a lake or sea,

in nature's ever changing harmony of sounds and sights,

feelings slight, or deep disturb the flow,

but still we have to ride the ripples tolerate the blows,

as this life we live,

accept the downs as well as ups,

and make the best of this.

There's no one can escape these wiles,

these many, many stiles along the way,

their steps and strides to counteract the gait,

on the way they gather flowers of love,

and flowers of hate,

we weigh them up on scales so individual.

Some enlarged relate to things obscene,

exaggerate a scene, create a dream,

a nightmare for the mind,

they're not content with simple lovely things,

all must be made more of,

which in the process becomes less,

less quality, less blessings, less all,

more stress and woe it follows this.

So grasp the branch and swing,

fly up, fly on your way,

enjoy the sense of day and night,

and on your flight you may,

become sheer ecstasy, delight.

With your fantasy create a world so free,

so happy, so wonderful

that to die with this installed,

there is no pain in it at all,

for you have touched,

the essence of the dream of life,

its all,

absorbed the good and bad,

become the you you are,

not mad or overdone,

just simple, sound like some.

A sweet meditative poem...

I shall meditate on your words, today, and many, many days... You are an Earth Teacher, dear Ann... You speak in a way that stirs the soul. It does mine. With my love, Raven A robin redbreast in a cage Puts all heaven in a rage. -William Blake

Oh its all there if you look for it.

Ann of Norway All you need to know is growing round you, I cannot be called the creator of more than an awareness of things, and try to share the joys and sorrows that they bring as that's what makes one feel alive. You are kind with your comments giving me a status far above my achievements, yet I do feel that I sometimes see through into the depth of something and it excites me enough to spill it out into a poem. Thank you all you dear friends thank you for your lovely words, Ann. XO

Dearest Ann

The famous psychologist ERIC ERICSSON talked of the 8 developmental stages of man's life. Wisdom vs Despair is the ultimate goal we should aim for. you have indeed accomplished this as is clearly depicted in this write! I salute you - and wish you well for your upcoming ordeal! CHeers Bonita j
