Diseased Eyes
Have you ever met someone
who's smile was fixed,
does it puzzle you
when transparency appears
...with obtrusive lucidity
you're not waiting to see,
like the smiling lion's hungry gaze
with her focus way too clear.
Deceptively active,
they have their clothes on straight,
with the deep need for the advantage
imprinted on their faces.
Clarity,
are you afflicted,
reading those hidden corners,
revealing mind shadowed mirrors,
hearing what is never quite said,
seeing where cutting glances go...
sometimes, I'm so alone.
who's smile was fixed,
does it puzzle you
when transparency appears
...with obtrusive lucidity
you're not waiting to see,
like the smiling lion's hungry gaze
with her focus way too clear.
Deceptively active,
they have their clothes on straight,
with the deep need for the advantage
imprinted on their faces.
Clarity,
are you afflicted,
reading those hidden corners,
revealing mind shadowed mirrors,
hearing what is never quite said,
seeing where cutting glances go...
sometimes, I'm so alone.
