Once upon a Liberal

once upon a liberal
until the rug was swiftly pulled
misleading
never again
misguided
fail

next time ill vote green or even bnp

now the shit bags are back in town
thought theyd just left town
oh shit
yeah

sooner or later people might clock on
 that these two party systems
democracy for one day every five years or so then back to the old ways
are nothing more than primetime dictatorship xfactor popularity contests
merging into one steaming lump
five years on
everythings fine
dont blame us
we love diana

once upon the 80s
cut the crap
mullets are back
just let them have their pipe
 they wont even realise

ooh at least its not africa or korea
america russia
critissssize putin without getting a shooting
the gaps closing every day
the lightbulb has appeared
wont be long now
what folly its been
all change theyve seen the error of theyre ways
not long now
bloodbath without bloodloss
blame the last lot they did

keep working till
you drop

dead

heres a fiver
you owe me two kicks in the bollocks and an extra 10 years

theres no jobs mush
and I cant even hold the drill anymore
what with my arthitis an prosthetic hand an all
we arnt all James Brown sloggers
i wanna drink tea and watch countdown

napalm showers over berkshire tonight

300 not out
its been a top notch innings by these lads and lasses
some real progress has been made
declare and take the draw

piss stained gin fiend old hags of whitechapel rejoice
at least your not a catholic
your pensions alright

for now

best set up some charities though

we
are
watching
you

disease wont kill ya
thatll be the bottle or the pipe
your the doley class for life

youve worked your sack off
middle manager going no further
bend over
youve missed the boat

theyve sussed us quentin
widen the search for an ethnic lesbian
might buy us another decade

education
a passport to enlightenment
escape

duty free fags booze and propaganda
PM me

This makes me want to know more about you...i think. At the very least, I'd like to know what is the motivation behind this piece. It reads like a prophecy and I picture this poem being performed. Lisa
