  Once upon a Time
 

      Once upon a time
           in a place not far away

      Lived a maiden sad and lonely
           as she lived from day to day

      Now she wasn't always like this
           happiness was hers for years

      Life was good and love was plentiful
           til the day he brought the tears

      On that day her world did crumble
           what to say..and what to do

      Seems her world was just a story
           now just black..no more the hues

      She was lost...no one to guide her
           and her family, could not help

      No, this time she was alone
           she would have to help herself

      So she pondered and she puttered
           and she went on with her life

      And to all the world , she smiled
           saved her crying for dark of night

      And her life became routine
           happiness a thing of the past

      'Til that one day that she saw him
           suddenly her heart beat fast

       She approached him very slowly
           being careful not to stare

      But the tingling through her body
           lost emotions...now aware

      Dare she speak...or could she even
           would she even have the words

      At that moment, he turned toward her
           her knees grew weak..her vision blurred

      Now she felt just like a school girl
           sweaty palms...rose flushed cheeks

      But unlike the girls in childhood
           through her body .... spread this heat

      On his face... a knowing look
           self assured, and haughty too

      As he took her by the hand
           he's the one, her heart just knew

      So they went their way together
           passions fire lit their way

      And to her ...he gave his love
           growing stronger day by day         

      So in love ..and yes, now happy
           vowing to be ever true

      Through this lifetime to the next
           in darkest days, or skys of blue

      But the maiden, had her dark side
           secrets kept.... from life before

      And though struggling to contain them
           ever present...behind that door

      Can he save her from herself
           will she trust in  love, and rapture

      She must put her faith in him
          so they live happily ever after.
