From The Corner Of My Eye

From the corner of my eye,
You whisper love in my ear,
But when I stare straight ahead,
It's  for someone else to hear.

From the corner of my eye,
You smile down at me,
When I stare straight ahead,
It's for someone else to see.

From the corner of my eye,
Your loving touch is real,
When I stare straight ahead,
It's for someone else to feel.

From the corner of my eye,
Our lips meet in sublime bliss,
When I stare straight ahead,
It's someone else you kiss.

From the corner of my eye,
We dance a lover's waltz,
When I stare straight ahead,
This fantasy is false.

I can not face reality,
No matter how I try,
So I will live for eternity,
From the corner of my eye.

Hi Elizabeth

Another brilliant write. Great rhythm and flow. I've been in this situation so many times, it's heartbreaking. Xena Quote: Science is what you know; philosophy is what you don't know. - Bertrand Russell

Dear Elizabeth

Here I am, late as usual. I can tell you have done much work on this piece. It is smack full of emotion. Hauntingly great. Favorite lines: can not face reality, No matter how I try, So I will live for eternity, From the corner of my eye. but the rest of the verses were also incomparable. I loved the whole poem. Love, Cat
