A place of one breath

Come and feel the sensational essence ofpeaceharmonytranquilitythat is painted in the atmosphere Come and touch the rolling hills that isOozing with the spirit of Ubuntu In a place where no man is an Island but afatherbrotherfriendto all that has breath A place where love walks barewithout the fear of being tested by time A place where kindness speaks throughthe tonguethe eyeand the handsof those who call it a home Home where one mother’s bosom is a sanctuaryand a comfort zone for the entire nation and thenation has nothing but reverence for her A place where lady Justiceis a loyal servant to the noble andthe poor alike A place where great minds are sharpened bygreat spears of indigenous knowledgethis is a place where I was borna place of one breath.

Thank you my sister

I'm very humbled by your kind comment. I hope to publish my work one day but I'm not yet a fully fledged wordsmith lol. Thank God, I've just finished my poetry manuscript (that is written in my mother tongue)and I'm featured in the forthcoming Sepedi anthology. For now Neopoet is still cocking me (as an English Poet) Regards, Moloko

Thank you Shirley

I'm passionate about writing, pity I can't fully express myself in the "Queen's language" ... still commit grammatical crimes here and there, but with wonderful teachers from Neopoet I'll get there. Regards,Moloko

What an oasis of shining

What an oasis of shining light! Tender and passionate poetry for one's country. You lead by example, Moloko, knowing South Africa's history, yet you speak with reverence. Thank you. ~A

Thank you

I have nothing but reverence for my "Motherland." I'd like to think of myself as a patriot though I aknowledge the negativities that have smeared our country's reputation. Despite these negativities South Africa is a wonderful, beautiful country that has a commanding sprit of 'Ubuntu'(Zulu word for humanity) we pride ourselves in unity, we still welcome strangers in our home and treat them like brothers, we believe a child belongs to the community - any adult has the right to reprimand a child... You know I can go on and on about our country, maybe one day when I have mastered the art of articulating in English I will write an insightful book about South Africa. Regards,Moloko
