u know now I know

It will take centuries,

If not many a millennium,

To reach the barbed wired

Surroundings of the periphery,

Where you stand commemorating

To time

Your indelible poetry…

But do let me read,

If not directly,

But at least your poetic thoughts

As a reflection

In the oasis of time

As I thirst for words,

As come

So naturally to thee

this is no mirage for me
