Planting Seed in the Sand

As you've spread seeds
I've swept them all up
this hatred you spew
is on a bent to disrupt

we laugh to resound

I look for the light
with a heart on my mind,
I am searching for grace
between the words that I find

we debate the trajectory
of comets and stars,
for in poetry we reach
to venture to mars

we have poets that can break
the hardest heart in two,
and poets who bring cheer
when your feeling blue

we have it all here
on the shores of the stars,
and if you cant see it?
your retina's are scarred

Ann of Norway Yep here we all are and we do some here and some there, and try to stretch the clock out to reach all but, then there's lunch and supper and all that gets in the way and we feel inadequate anyway so we try our best now and then and hope we give all we can when.....we do. My Dearest Friend

you give more than you need as do many others dearheart .... unfortunately there has been some hating going on and I have been one of the objects of hate ... at the end of it we only can do the best we can people are forgetting the AEC are human as well ... we do a job thats not always pleasant but its got to be done in doing so I have make some people angry ... I read somewheresurprise

I read somewhere surprise them with compassion give them the opposite of what they expect, I know ive made more enemies than not Mum ... at the end of it I can stand tall knowing when I should have stood down from a vote, I did ... and when it was time to make the hard decisions, I did ... and I am going to say this now we have been running the AEC short one set of hands for nearly 7 weeks ... we have had to make decisions and do all the legwork of five ... with the hands of four ... I think in getting the guidelines updated and still making sure the site didnt go to rack and ruin we did a great job ... in amoungst that Cat had surgery and continued with on with her AEC duties without one complaint from her I only say this because those three people I worked with have been nothing but professional and because WE made all the decisions I have to stand with them and they deserve more than the shit they are copping I am used to being the loner I am used to being shut up and out ... I can live with it ? but those other three people Richard Cat and Jonathan deserve more than what they are getting, if anyone should be pissed at anyone be pissed at me I was the messenger in two of the cases but know no matter what I've done as AEC ? Now JC i am sure that you didnt even want to write this, however as usual you have written with style and grace and your message is simple and from your heart so i say it was long over due to have a message for all and you have done it in a very possitive way "Brava" i love being here, after a bit of a rocky start we will not always all agree but just to have respect for eachother and our poetry will turn the bad stuff into good! with much love shirley harrison

I love it

I love this poem, I would make a terriable critic because when I read another poets words I don't look to see what is wrong or what I don't like. I look to see what I do like and make mention of that. my motto is in my signature and I believe it with all my heart. this is a great write and read my friend, beautiful work You can never pick anyone up if you are busy putting them down
