Haunt Me
Haunt me all you want,
I am yours to keep,
My heart misses you so strongly,
It nearly skips a beat,
The void you left,
Can never be filled,
This wound that absorbs me,
Shall never be healed,
Your voice, your smile, your laughter,
Your advice and humor,
Are only found in memories now,
Of a being overcome with stupor,
I think of you upon waking,
And in moments before I sleep,
All through day and night,
And everything in between,
Do you linger here?
Looking over my shoulder each day,
Well then stay as long as you like,
You will not hear me complain,
For if I could but feel your presence again,
Envelope me, my dear,
I would make no qualms about it,
For I still want you very near,
So haunt me all you want,
But know I set you free,
I only desire happiness for you,
Even if it be away from me,
Yet, till we meet again,
On the shore at heaven's gate,
You more than have my permission,
To stay with me while you wait,
For I'll love you forever,
No matter if you choose to leave,
But if you are not ready to go,
Feel free,
My dearest,
To haunt me.
I am yours to keep,
My heart misses you so strongly,
It nearly skips a beat,
The void you left,
Can never be filled,
This wound that absorbs me,
Shall never be healed,
Your voice, your smile, your laughter,
Your advice and humor,
Are only found in memories now,
Of a being overcome with stupor,
I think of you upon waking,
And in moments before I sleep,
All through day and night,
And everything in between,
Do you linger here?
Looking over my shoulder each day,
Well then stay as long as you like,
You will not hear me complain,
For if I could but feel your presence again,
Envelope me, my dear,
I would make no qualms about it,
For I still want you very near,
So haunt me all you want,
But know I set you free,
I only desire happiness for you,
Even if it be away from me,
Yet, till we meet again,
On the shore at heaven's gate,
You more than have my permission,
To stay with me while you wait,
For I'll love you forever,
No matter if you choose to leave,
But if you are not ready to go,
Feel free,
My dearest,
To haunt me.
