Phantom Of The Opera part II
Phantom Of The Opera
Andrew Lloyd Webber Version
The Movie
Part II by CM Mattison
Christine, so fragile in my arms.
My front to her back, so soft against me
both of us singing, the music of the night.
I wondered "Is it real? Can dreams come true?"
Her hand caressed my face so gently while I sang to her.
Then, without warning, she stripped away my mask.
Little Pandora opened the box of my deformity.
How can I ever trust her again, after this betrayal?
She simply stared at my face as I raged on about Delilah's
She didn't cover her eyes so not to see the horror.
Then put her hand with the mask into mine.
How can I not forgive her sweetness?
But the hands of the clock moved to oppose me;
The time had come for her return to above.
Where all was upheaval. They had missed her,
even the pasty-faced patron Raoul, Vicomte de Chagney
who has developed designs upon my beloved.
Carlotta, was slated as the lead, for the next performance,
with Christine as the silent pageboy.
Despite of all my warning notes, they dared
to move against me. So I would teach them a lesson.
As the curtain went up, I switched Carlotta's throat spray
with a potion to make her voice sour every note.
it nearly stopped her heart when she croaked her part.
I was followed by a stage hand through the rafters,
I did kill him with a rope, when he caught up with me.
He fell down to center stage to stop the show.
Christine ran from the stage, catching up
the hand of that pest Raoul. Together they ran for the roof.
Little did they know I had my own secret passage there.
I arrived first, hiding behind a great statue.
What right had he to be with my Christine?
