blogging for a flogging

light my hair
with
thunderbolts and set my tongue
afire

whip me into submission
bend me to your rules and lies,
make me into a blow-up doll
then
that just might contain
the foul stale air
of your unsavory scent trail,
knock me out with your idea
of a perfect human being but remember if you
steal away the bride of Frankenstein
and let the townspeople run amuck, stark
raving mad, you'll be the one hugging
yourself in your very own straight jacket
when the asylum doors are opened

you'll never
shape me into the perfect
image of you
all you'll ever have is a little dog
nipping at your heels
and pissing all over your favourite
things
just so you know:
the real me will still say:
"fuck you
and your little dog too."

I agree

A very truthful poem , it might be even better if the first stanza just said set my hair on fire. In the final stanza you could say pissing on your favourite shoes. otherwise I enjoyed it. love lou xx

Tell you what rewrite it,

Tell you what rewrite it, Lou and I'll post it with your changes and we'll have co-written this poem. K? ~A The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dear kailashana

I disagree, pissing on all your things is a broader term, than just pissing on your favourite shoes, maybe it should be phrased slightly differently, i don't know, but pissing on your favourite shoes is not the same. as always i am in awe of your pen. john xxx

Dear Mum

I am thinking on the same line as Lou ... pissing all over your leg works for me but I have to agree with Lou I think shoes or something other than things ... but things could be anything really ... your poem your call huni love and hugs JayCee x x x (β€œIn time we hate that which we often fear.” William Shakespeare quote)
