Dawn upon a country plain
On ascent,
gone a scent
fills the sky
thrills the nigh
with sweet- promises.
Now the distant sky colours-
hues of glory to be seen.
The procession of hours
awakens this life- this scene-
to the hope that’s all ours-
hope for our flaws and sin.
Drawn back- the curtain of Night.
A bird sings,
a bard brings
quills and inks-
chills and thinks
of this- rhymed tribute.
