Blood on the Stairs of Hope
If I sit for a thousand nights
of crescent moons
stitching new stars
to the firmament
Would you give
me a moment
of perfect ?...
If I polished the black
until the stars of your
eyes, shone brighter
than the stars themselves
would you accept
that I am sorry
for everything
between the beginning
of now and the next life,
but that I have
to stop saying it ?...
I sit in the thousand
sighs within my memories
I wait with patience
guiding my hands,
over the satin of time
and I hope for peace, even
as the blood stars
a trail of battle
over the steps of fate
and it seeps under my door ...
