The Poet's Soul
A poem is like a very small childYou nurture it til it growsWhile trying to capture a single thoughtAnd making sure it flows A poem is always personalIt's a piece of who you areLetting someone feel the painThat gave your heart that scar It's a feeling that's trapped insideYearning to be set freeSometimes it's of things to comeBut it's mostly of history We write about our heartachesOur troubles and our trialsSometimes it's happy endingsThe reason for our smiles So when you read the poet's wordsRemember to read it slowAnd you'll see more than you're looking forYou'll see their very soul
