Night Sky
Gentle spring-like moon-less gloaming.
Balmy breeze caressing.
Briny eternal black ink canopy
embroidered with trembling luminous sequins.
I lay on indisputable firmness.
Mother earth, hard and comforting enfolds me -
and tips
so I am spreadeagled on the ceiling of eternity
staring into intense esoteric yawning.
I feel the negligible tininess of me
in the vast
of this enormous place
and I fall into forever.
Voluptuous motionless milky veils
reflecting iridescent silver and grey
emphasise the depth
of evermore.
One in the guise of a foot,
huge,
embedded with scintillating diamonds.
I imagine God is taking a stroll.
