ZOUNDS

"ZOUNDS WE LIVE" Ann June 2010.

Zounds and yet its good,

today we find we live a little longer,

a little better, a little more,

manage to challenge wrongs with rights,

operate our warts and clumps,

claim another day, which in our ancestors time

were doomed to die too soon.

We thank the modern surgery,

the expanding knowledge of man,

his parts, his arts, his fantasy,

to gain control, to keep the balance, whole,

as long as we who get this gift can use,

the rest of time to sensibly amuse our minds,

our relatives, our friends in happy times.

To make amends with corners dark,

with problems causing us to smart,

be open minded to the change,

th'inevitable march of time;

their fashions, fads and bends,

to live a life of giving, living love,

the paramount sense, one far above,

the drudge that causes us to smudge.

So take a trumpet, violin,

make music in your hours,

of ageing skin and flesh,

and lighten skies for one and all,

that they remember when they fall,

was how to show a difference,

and bless.

Music and Blessings...

I always have a little music everyday... And I love the music of nature; like raindrops falling, the wind, the sound of water dancing, in brooks, meadows, rivers; the sound of the ocean waves; each a distinct melody... And yes... we have so much to be thankful for; we should dance! Thank you for this lovely and insightful poem, dear Ann... With my love, Raven

Ann of Norway "May the trees bow low as your wake passes by may a daytime petal lighten the night sky as the stones of old march with bones of man I walk with you my friend always hand in hand" Oh all of you are so lovely, such nice comments you colour my page with and make me feel happy, Thank you all. Raven for the blessings and music, ah music! judyanne for being her and appreciating me. Jaycee for her most lovely words in the form of a poem, I especially liked the: "as your wake passes by" I wonder what that could be described as, an aura, a slight breeze causing the leaves, or trees to stir, as I think of the wake of a ship at sea, its a lovely thought, like the long flow of a grand magnificent dress its train floating behind it sensing the earth. And Adej for his thanks. Love to you all annanya
