Suspended Animation

This suspended animation

Is detrimental to my soul

Finding my spark for life

Is my fundamental goal

Time sped up its passing

In a monumental blur

Left behind my human fragments

In a dim and chilly world

All my heat has seeped out

Through frigid little pores

Cold began to penetrate

From my limbs into my core

All my thoughts were scattered

Into disjointed strings of cells

Now I’m afraid I’m lost forever

In a twilight frozen hell

lol, thank you Scribbler

The idea was formed with that exact converastion with my son. (whom is a molecular biology/biochemisty student) But after our talk, the idea stuck and I saw a similarity in the way people sometimes become. Not sure if is depression/pain/fatigue, some other entity or a combination of many things that causes one to withdraw from their once normal participation in life. I appreciate your time to stop and read and the comments. Always, Tonya
