Dance Of The Butterfly

Soft and gentle as the morning rain
I see you sitting on the edge of the bed
Looking into the vanity
Pulling the rollers
From your hair

You are more beautiful
Than the heavens above
I try not to even breathe wrong
I don’t want to disturb you
And have you stop
For even a second

You have the skin from your youth
The glow of our children
In your eyes
And alabaster hands
That guide a brush
Through the fine red lace
Of your hair

You were born
With the face of a angel
But your real beauty
Is in the softness
Of your compassion
The gentleness of your touch

You are a butterfly
That has landed on my heart
And changed me forever

I am weak
In the glow of your tenderness
And draw strength
In my desire to take care of you

I will lie here
As still and quiet as I can
Until the end of time
And watch the morning dance
Of my butterfly

Ohhhhhhhh to be loved like this! I am your humble fan, Hobo. ~ p.s. people lie not lay (unless you lay a book down or you have lain down) unless you get laid ;-) "Even if I knew the world were to end tomorrow, I would plant an olive tree today."-- Francis of Assisi
