To My Brother: With Whom It Should Concern
First you taught me terror until our dog evened the scoreThen you taught me jealousy, with each year learning moreNext you taught me secrecy, that lead me quite astraySomething I still struggle with, until this very dayFinally you taught me loyalty, something I showed youOver and over, I hung myself to prove that I was trueYou covered up your messes, by pointing out mineYou acted out "not knowing", to show that you were F.I.N.E.Protecting you from your self, an action expected of meNever asking more of you, than what a brother should beBy taking me for granted, its our friendship you have marredBelieving you were there for me, has left me sadly scarredI love you brother and always will, but today I am free from it all
Letters that won't come, holidays missed and that "Birthday" call
