THE LITTLE THINGS

I take my shoes off where we dine
which I think is just plain fine
its better than the times you"hide"
  news paper's sports and classified

Sometimes I don't fill ice trays up
and leave enough for just one cup
but your gas guage, it stays on "E"
  necessitates fill up by me

And while we're talking 'bout the car
the radios too loud by far
although you say my trucks a mess
its clean enough for me, I guess

Just 'cause I leave poem notes about
is no reason for you to shout
at least when we do sleep at night
for covers you don't have to fight

I drive too fast, I drive too slow
but we still get there ,don't you know
who got the last summons or ticket?
for seat belt violation, click it!

The times I fix us grub to eat
I don't leave kitchen sparkling neat
you frown at me and think its lame
  when e'er I watch a football game

We sit and look each other over
each thinking life is far from clover
but then you smile and I just melt
forgetting all the vex I felt

I think this is a down to

I think this is a down to earth, true to life poem. My husband loves watching football he supports Portsmouth (England). My husband even looks like you, except he's got a full beard. Thanks for sharing Scribbler. Love Mand xxx

Love is in the air

It sounds like true love to me Stan, a typical day in the life of husband and wife. If there were no disagreements then there would be no making up in the bedroom; which is the best time for making love, if my memory serves me well…hmm!…great stuff. Dear Scribbler

I had to laugh at all the little foibles of the married couple today. But when it comes down to it you remember why you married in the first place. Nice...
