Slow descending to oblivion

Rolling turning straining synapse
Glue gun clumsy style
Diamonds made of plastic
Still sparkle when you smile
Descend into some memory
Undisturbed now for a while

Sticky stodgy melody
Beyond the lyric’s clarity
Words that pull the truth to light
Are lost in bland disparity
Shuffle through the undergrowth
The quest for similarity

Winter foggy slow and dim
The evening trickles in
I baked today through cotton thoughts
But I’m ready to begin
Thudding pulse in distant chest
That holds my heart within

Longing, loner listless life
Yet filled to over-flowing
I feel the disappearance
Of the greatness ever growing
Focussed somewhere else from now
And fading with my knowing

Even knowing fading
Like the images of joy
No protest, no disruption
With such a method soft destroy
Just fade into oblivion
Slower motion gods decoy

If you ride the cloud to the edge, just eat the strawberry on the way down. For you the edge is boring, for me it's once again realizing I have no control over anything. And the universe will do with me what it will. And so I write... And so shall you. You write the song, so sing it! Sing it loud, sing it clear!
