VISION/ Illusion/ delusion (your call)

    Like a Maxfield Parrish painting
                  superimposing
       an Ansel Adams photograph

                       earthy
                      ethereal

                   glowing soft
                 sweet serenity

                   so striking!
                      pangs...
                 waves of pangs
         pierce my stubborn sorrows

                  suddenly... joy!
                     startling joy!
                   emancipating
                       jubilating
           " jumping Jehosaphat" joy!

                      heart, soul,
                      spirit mind
                         affixed

                          I SEE!

                      I see that... I...
                      ... that all....
                    are always already
                        forever alive

Wonderful. I have many

Wonderful. I have many poems with references to Maxfield Parrish. Love his work! And who can not sigh inside AA photos AND your extraordinary poem--nature and nature of existence. Thank you. ~A p.s. Sp: ethereal, forever.... and last names uncaps? ok, you're a poet, you can do anything. ;-) "Even if I knew the world were to end tomorrow, I would plant an olive tree today."-- Francis of Assisi

firstly

thank you for an extraordinarily gracious comment, and an extra thanks for pointing out the error of my (typing/texting) ways. I am new here, and not yet comfortable commenting/critiquing. still trying to figure the ethos of this place. not to worry, when I start feeling comfortable no one will be able to shut me up. thank you again, AL
