Puppetry of a Fool

I’ve been lots of things
in my life a mother,
a daughter, a wife

and stupid
yes I said stupid …

but, I'm not so witless?
I can’t see the game
as it plays in the shadows
moving with the Grey
and shade

stupidity can be overcome
as with ignorance,
though ignorance
constantly breeds
contempt,
and the shadows
grow

I’m just an
intelligent idiot
that's trying to
keep a dream alive,
as I breathe into the
ether, I fog the
face of time

and all this while,
I've been playing
shadow puppet’s
with a fool

I can see what you mean about stupid but I am a little confused with the mention of stupidity ?? I only mention that word once ... loved the concept behind this write. "Nothing is worse than active ignorance." Goethe "and all the while, I’ve been playing shadow puppet’s with a fool" Alas - we are all BEING PLAYED as puppets in the greater scheme of things.... Just one suggestion I have is to reposition the wording in the first verse: "in my life, a mother, a daughter a wife." simply because it flows a lot smoother. Cheers Boni

Its all relative anyway isn't it?

Ann of Norway "as I breathe into the ether, I fog the face of time" I love this bit, I can see the glass of time breathed on by you, its tiny song the insects hear and wonder at, this theme is one which bugs many of us, and it can take 70 years to find out that its not true, that one isn't so stupid as others tend to tell one one is, and that there is some worth in what we have to say and suddenly we don't mind what we are we flower. Its all relative anyway isn't it? My sister who is quick and was so at school when she was little, and the teachers asked me why I was so slow and not as good as she at two subjects, I was not encouraged by these remarks as as you can imagine. She learnt something from me though, when she was so organised and good at all she did, and found herself in need of help, she decided to look like me a little helpless and lo and behold a porter came up and said to her "Can I carry your bags madam?" Wow she thought, my sister's not so stupid as I thought!!!!! How we suffer from this comparison with others when each and every one of us is unique and equally special and valid in the sum of things! No? Love from Little Ann. "yes I said stupid …" ...do you need I said? I must study this as I feel there are some things I would like to be better! Love as aye Jayne from Ann.

Ive always been too tough on myself and never see anything I do as perfect you have made me realise amoung others that I have something to give in words and so I tap into the vein of me again for a while I forgot who I was again and I had to re find myself ... but you darling ... you always keep my chin up no matter how bad the smell is ? or how deep the shit lol sorry but thats how it is I love you my dear friend and one day I would love to hug you in person I sometimes curse the net and our distance love to you from us Both ~!
