My Dearest Friend - Bobby

i lost my dearest friend to an illness
i shall miss his heart filled smile
the honor was that, of knowing him
though it was only for a little while

he spoke the words of a gentleman
this man that stood proud and true
he always seemed to make the time
to stop and share a story with you

he lived for the love of his family
for them he would toil his life
working with welders and steel
to support his children and wife

i can feel his presence near me
it causes my heart to skip a beat
i see him when i close my eyes
as i slowly drift off into sleep

he walks the shores of heaven
this man who walks with pride
dancing across the golden clouds
his wife Maureen by his side

              forever missed
                 and loved
                   snake

Awe shucks Snake...

This hits a chord with me. My sister, who died at the age of 52, went down-hill with her illness after her husband died of Cancer several years before her. He was diagnosed with it only a week before he died, so there was nothing they could do for him. My sister shared many stories with me, and I miss that. He was her life-force. I imagine that your friend and his wife shared the same bond...Beautiful Xena

A poet, a poet with a poetess.

Ann of Norway The snake rises from the leaves of the sad story of a dear and close friend, he writes with venom on the bitter sweet petals of the flowers around him and throws their delicate sentiments onto the tomb that swallowed up Bobby, I feel he knew your love and senses your tribute from above. I didn't know you were so good at writing poetry my friend Snake, with much love from Ann in Norway where we have small snakes, but surely none with such compassion as yours. "to support he’s children and wife" ...isn't he's supposed to be HIS?

Snake Dear Friend Loss is all I seem to know ask Jay-Cee But they are always with me I hear their voice and a conversation I start knowing they are where they are but still with me. As my Bob he now walks the shores of heaven and out in his dingy be on the sea his favourite place to be. your last verse tore at my heart He walks the shores of heaven this man who walks with pride I know he where he wants to be maybe I will be on his mind Bobby will know you do not have to say he is there sees and hears all you will never be alone he is with you Electric Blue
