Rise

The starlight shines
The bindings bright

Upon earths shore
Grows mould and blight

The Poets doze of blinding prose
Fork in the road~ He slept then rose

The emerald stripped
Of clasp and brass

Its sparkle eyes
The scales of the Asp

The serpents eye
Has shed its sonnet

Its new found gaze
Smells death upon it
