where the river flows, where roots are joined on eagle wings

there are those who cut down the forest to see the trees....
but I'd save myself if I knew then what I know now

I'd plant a forest and fall on my knees, grateful for my vision of solitude
I'd embrace the rain with muddy roots, I'd let my shadow walk away

I'd listen to the sound of one tree falling
I'd walk across a distant thunder in peaceful silence

I'd help you build a bridge and show you where the river flows
underground, where roots are joined with earth and sky.

I'd point my finger to the moon and let our spirits howl,
like alpha wolves learning to fly.

you are my sister Anna dearest Anna.

Ann of Norway Oh you are my sister you are my sister Anna dearest Anna. I always remember a little animated film about a man -"The Man who Planted Trees", it was in French and beautifully drawn, and this man alone, lived in a tiny house and every day he went out to plant trees, and in the end he created a forest of trees. So wonderful, so wonderful. Like you, love to you from me. I love "where roots are joined on eagles wings- the joints of the eagles wings reflecting the branching of the roots of trees.....

Beautiful words Anna

Beautiful words Anna I love the trees, especially when they surround us with all the wildlife and nature that comes with them. Cut down our trees and you take away a part of the earth that gives us life. Xena

Beautiful poetry!

This is a fine piece of work, Anna, thank you for its craftsmanship and careful wording, rich imagery and soulfulness... one for the collection! Love, Leigh "The true miracle is not walking on water or walking in air, but simply walking on this earth." Thich Nhat Hanh
