The Hangman's Noose
Legend spread far and wide
the vampire highwayman
and his monstrous lover Viola
Blood thirsty rape and pillage
no stage coach or maiden was safe
for that was his trade
One night the law drew near
a massacre ensued
an unholy battle
The Gallows did call
a hollow laugh let loose from Jack's breast
for he knew his life could never be taken
Malevolent twinkle in his eye
slipped the hangman's noose
and took flight
No end no retribution
THIRD PART OF HIGHWAYMAN JACK TRILOGY.
