Myth

We descended steadfastly from spirit to flesh.

And at one era there was a residue

of some who recollected

the ability to manifest from thought.

They were called gods

by those further into the fall

who had forgotten.

And as we evolve back to Truth and Grace

there will come in time

those who will remember.

Perhaps they too will be labelled deities

by those who lag behind.

Maybe some already have....

About This Poem

About the Author

Region, Country: Western Australia, AUS

Favorite Poets: Favourite poets? So many, so varied. I like particular songs, not necessarily the singer... and the same goes for poetry. I can honestly say though, that Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman was what inspired my love of poetry - my mother began reading it to me when I was still a baby, and it became my favourite bedtime story

WoW Judy

That's a wonderful compliment to me that my poem inspired this great poem. I could feel what you were writing but couldn’t explain how I understood it. You’ve just done that for me. Thank you. Xena
