1 a.m Ponderings
Light illuminates everything
Does it not?
Without Light this world would be plunged in darkness...
Would it not?
Light, a soft glow, or a brilliant ray, gratly effects all around it.
It casts a shadow, reveals whats hidden , chases away storm clouds to reveal calmer waters....
So does light come to my aid.
A candle, a lamp, the thinnest ray of sunshine, illuminates my world and lifts my spirits, giving it a light -starved demeanor as if I had been born and raised in darkness. Maybe I have....
But how is it that one seemingly insignificant component, one "minor" factor, however good or bad, can affect our world so completely, or influence an idea so plainly and simply, that all evidence of inspiration can be traced back to it without reproof or fault? How does it remain blameless?
Is there a threat in light? A hidden danger? A concealed weapon, perhaps? Can light itself be blamed for revealing to man what is right in fron tof him? Can it be held accountable for reavealing secrets, plots, and schemes?
Light does not control itself, it must be wielded.....but how then is it not a weapon? Light must be then the counterpart to a weapon.....a shield! An expression of freedom, a breaker of bondage....
What is light? Some believe it is any principle, concept or actual matter that is wholesome, fruitful, good, and right.
Am I mad?
If I am, I have gone now to far to return. But here is my theory:
Light is a necessary, weapon-less shield, a deliverer, an ignorant power until it is indeed taught, a bringer of hidden things to view, a weak thing until fed, and abhorred thing until properly understood......
I am mad.
