Jacket
its what I saw
your form
so used to t shirt
democrats
something prime
your jacket snug
about you
a rare item chosen
on a day of extreme
there were mare tails
and lightening talking
and then you
like a vision risen
I could picture poetry on
napkins and gum wrappers
and your bill for storage
your half life still enclaved
by the metal moat
your proud face and eyes
made up
but I never did get to talk
to you in that smart get up
the sun was still shinning
burning the tops of the old
bricks rust red
your hair flashed red in
highlights and you were
gone
one more regret
but I wanted too
I can still see you
even now
