Carnal tooth

the claws are out
there it is in the air
in the hot sunshine spit
thats crawling into the
maze of smooth
mystery

all the dust and sand
from the walk
are afire in this
afternoon flurry

the smile and lips pulled
back soft and ready

the bird weaving on the
pole beyond the windows
the space between history
of where I hurt
and where
we hit the distance
with fists

making bruises
you see
somethings
are just crush
adjustments

a smile the contact hits

summer heat and the wavering hours in the breezes that twine emptiness that pushs dust vortices in haunted parking lots and piazza patio laughter

sometimes I wonder if Ive been here in the door at the hall

i stopped writing in a manner that had manners but words that flowed or linked like jukeshop music murmuring sadness in the din of happy desertion these old love letters burn my fingers and the last good kiss I had was under Autumn trees the one that flowed from the heart powered from the hips something about me thats empty with the temptations of unlovable and underserving still I prowl like the lone dog I try to be the wolf outcast the cat just happy with one canary
