Cat, I echo Raj. This is awesome. I had planned to tell you my favorite lines, but, I can't choose. The 2nd and 3rd stanzas really rock. If there's a way you could improve it, I sure as hell can't see it. A nomination for sure and I I don't often nominate anyone. Sue

Cat, well this one is better than Eddy's...and I don't say that very often. I loved the image of the whole piece, but the vision of this stanza was breath-taking: But you show me your back I struggle upon the rocks unable to pull myself up to the safety of your beach The safety of YOUR beach...sublime! I was captured on the shipwrecked deck of the 'pools of protective adoration and the pounding surf. I am shackled and chained to the darkness of perpetual night...this is straight out of Styx's back-pocket...wonderful. I quite liked the poem, needs work and is a little tedious....AND I AM ONLY MESSIN' WITH YOU!! Quite possibly your best to date. Thanks for posting. Your use of language is excellent, "I am shackled and chained to the darkness of perpetual night", absolutely excellent. P.S. I love your picture, my mother has a Siamese cat (Demetruis,for short Dem) she loves cats, as do I.
