THE TERRIFYING NIGHT

Fire Dancing womanizer,
and gentleman despiser.
Everlasting confidence,
and a lack of substance.
A man with one goal in mind,
an animalistic kind.
He enters the room
with a drawn on smile
and tacky style.
Begins his lines
which he's rehearsed
to himself verse by verse.
He knows what works
and what to say.
Be careful now,
he's coming your way.
As you feel him approach
in that awkward, uncomfortable way,
you think to yourself,
"I'll just tell him i'm gay".
So hand shakes exchanged
you send him away.
He's off to the next girl,
to dazzle and play.
Now walking with swagger,
he slides down the bar.
And you hear over your shoulder,
"Wanna see my new car?"

Great snapshot of life. Been a long time since I saw that but I'm sure things like that never change. I had to laugh at your ending. raskin
