Father Show Thy Mercy

Father has glorious mercy

Teach me the nuances of peace

So that henceforth

I shan’t lose friends

As I do

Like leaves strewn

By the merciless hands

Of a departing autumn

Hold my arms like

A snow torn breeze

Make me freeze

In the cauldron of time.

Help me contain all friends

Strewn like rose petals,

In the backyard of memory

As I’m now on the itinerary

Of lives damage control

Between the womb

To the eternal tomb, 

Where I stand mid way 

Nearer the end of the tunnel

Of life’s sojourn

Since I am still not through

Nor yet unborn to change

No matter how much

One may consider me

As finally inextricably deranged

I wait for your blessing on Earth

As if I was about to enter heaven

Help me live these last years

In peace and harmony

With my remaining brethren

Oh! Time

God of all Times

Let me abide with thee

My everlasting earthly days

With utmost pleasantry
