Only got stumped on the question mark in the middle of the sentence threw me off. Maybe you intend it to be there and I love the last part of it but I can say for me I saw you today and just stay away my old kryptonite!! I can see why you arent quite happy with this one. It is summarising a set of very powerful feelings of longing, sensual excitement and terror but somehow it is all rather too tame. Its your poem and your emotions of course but I have tried to give you another version that is perhaps a little bolder (hope you like the extended wine analogy lol). Personally I was not too keen on the kryptonite image at the end since for me it rather trivialised the whole piece: One touch I crave, my senses scream the delicious, aching timbre of your voice. Searching frantic, ebony nights for echo's lure of seduction-woven dreams. But now I find expectant rhythm no longer lulls a yearning heart, nor soothes my body's rage with downy touch; for ever lacking completion by the puzzle's final piece. ~~~~ Shadows cast that night we met in secret, as they do now remembered with isolated mind, when vine-clung skins held the taste of story's fruit that will never now be pressed. Where the only separation was a place between sleep drunk eyes and their shared reopening with the first snatched nose of morn. I glimpsed you today the draw still uncorked, and forever irresistible. Stay ever far, My once-sipped ruby poison. Love and hugs BB
