The Lady in the Box
You're as beautiful as the day, I met youAnd it will always be that wayI said that I would always love youAnd that still stands true, today You're the best mother a child ever hadAnd you're also the worlds greatest wifeYou're the woman of a thousands dreamsThat I've searched for all of my life You always knew how to make me smileWhenever I was feeling downThere was something in your magical voiceThat would melt away my frown I wanted to put you on a pedistalBut you said it was way too highYou said you didn't deserve itBut I never quite understood why You're the reason that God made the sunshineTo compete with your beautiful smileBut you never thought you were specialFor that was just never your style We've made memories to last us a lifetimeAnd I promise to never forgetI've made you a million promisesAnd I haven't broken one yet I come here today to say goodbyeAnd to give you one last kissI want you to know, as they lower you downHow much you're gonna be missed
