Delicate flowers

All flowers have feelings

In actual fact

It takes lots of loving

To keep them intact

They need looking after

With blood sweat and toil

And water and feeding

Improving the soil

Keep out the weeds

That will want to attack

Kill off the flies

Either white or the black

Talk to them daily

Play them some sounds

See them improve

Both in leaps and in bounds

Be kind to your flowers

Try not to neglect

Be nice to your flowers

And you’ll gain their respect

I'm guilty!!!

I don't know why? But every time I’ve had plants in the past, they die. I tried everything by the book, talked to them too, even sang and played music, but they still always died. I think it’s true what they say about having “Green Fingers”. I really don’t. I love animals and nature. I’m brilliant with animals, but not with beautiful flowers and plants. Lovely write John. Xena get yourself a

Xena get yourself a flowering cactus and ignore it, water once or twice a year, keep it in a sunny spot and you should be rewarded with some beautiful flowers, as far as i know you cant kill them, wel, not easily. John

I didn't know you could get one that could flower? I always saw them as kind of jaggy looking and boring, so I'll look for one of them. If I get one and it still dies, I'm gona blame you John!!! Xena

Get a Christmas cactus the

Get a Christmas cactus the flowers are stunning, they are so simple to keep and you dont need to water, hardly at all, but a few weeks after watering they will flower and when they do they look fantastic. If you do manage to kill it I'll be surprised. John

You know John...

I love nature and I've never understood the reasons why I can't keep a simple plant alive, but I will do as you suggest and buy a Xmas cactus. Can I buy one now? But there’s another problem, I have a pet rat called Zak, he doesn’t live in a cage, he lives in my house...a lot of cleaning up after him, I know that’s what you’ll be thinking, but it’s worth it to give him his freedom. I’m normally a cat person, so he’s more like a cat than a rat. Anyway, as you know rodents can climb and can make themselves very thin, well em, hold that thought; Zak is a little fatter than he should be, so I guess I could find a place to put a cactus that he couldn’t reach??? Xena

Funny you should say that ive got a new box of 240 PG tips in the cupboard, should be enough to last the week, there's also lots of Heinz stuff too, ketchup, tomato soup, beans and spotted dick, thats a lie ive just had the spotted dick with birds custard, but i also have some Frascati and Soave in the fridge, time for bed now so i'll nip out and make my Ovaltine :-) Take care John

God I miss pie and mash,

God I miss pie and mash, thats the trouble with living out in the sticks, these norfolk people just dont appreciate good food, I'm going to see my dad next week so I'll make sure I get my 2 and 2. Laughing yourself to sleep is not unusual, most women do that with me :) And no i dont drink 240 cuppas a week by crikey thats about 35 a day, how could i get through life on only 35 cuppas.
