Young Ripper In Love

Young Ripper In Love
by: eddy styx

She required
A voyeuristic lover
Who would hold his stance
To a distal position
Astride her passion
He would feed the fire
Of the sweet liquor
Of their heat in the night
Answering the temptation
With the dedicated pressure
Of his stainless steel blade
Coaxing tiny fluid beads
Of dark red berries
To surface on the perfect thin line
He had traced
On her flawless throat
(And) she became
His latest work of love-art
Blood writings
On Irish linen and lace
As he scrawled his name
Upon the tender
Recesses of her heart...

Dear Ells

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. I am of the old school, more emotional build up and less guts a gore, although I have written a few of those, too. Always, Cat

i’m not a great lover of

i'm not a great lover of the dark write, simply because i think so few can really do the genre justice...reading some dark writes is like reading 'dark writes for dummies'... i get it, i get...no need to pound me over the head with the bleeding obvious! this however, has a restraint about the descriptors that works so much better than any in-your-face phrasing the imagery is clear, through well written lines, and the macarbe edge is definitely felt deliciously creepy last 6 lines? terrific cheers p

Dear P.

It is nice to meet you, I know I have seen you around and even read some of your poetry. I was impressed by it, but out of time. I think I have seen your comments and critiques on the work of member, Ink Dragon. I want to thank you for such an in-depth and complete critique. I write many styles of poetry and many genres This is just one of them by my Male Alter Ego. I would be honored if you came by again. Always, Cat

Ah, Jayne...

But then you have my first book! There will be a second volume, but I doubt it will be with the same publisher. My second book is almost ready... just waiting on my editor (Steve) to go over the punctuation, etc. He is my harshest fan, but really Excellent! Love, Cat

Cat, another dark and twisted tale of the elusive Mr Styx. I was grabbed by the write with the opening line and fell in love with these lines: With the dedicated pressure Of his stainless steel blade Coaxing tiny fluid beads Of dark red berries To surface on the perfect thin line He had traced On her flawless throat I could feel it, I could see it, I was there. You managed to not just open up the page with your write, but allow the reader to become suffocated in the atmosphere and darkness. Phew! I will read this one many times over. Oh yeah, I liked it! I bow to Eddy and his evilness. A title alternative...'Love-Art' HS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "With all that I am and all that I could be, I walk this earth and yet nobody sees me".

Dear HS

One thing I can certainly say for you is that you write an excellent review. If I have the Book Of Styx reprinted, I will consider the suggestion of title change. Thank you for all you are and all you are going to be. Always, Cat

Cat, that reminds me, I have finished the Styx review, I just haven't edited yet...I'm onto it! I think you'll be able to reprint the book and add all the new ones and make it one deep, dark, twisted, evil nightmare! Obviously, when it is made available on Amazon, I will drop my review underneath it! So if your book doesn't scare them off, the review will!! Lol! Dear HS

You are a dear friend. Do you really think that Amazon will accept my book? As soon as I have Book II finished I am going to look for an agent. I'm waiting for my editor to go over it, but he is busy mowing lawns, planting gardens and painting fences, LOL. One of these days he will get around to it. When all the dust settles I would LOVE to have your review for my books! Thank you for all the hard work you have done. Always, Cat

Amazon?

cat, I can see no reason why Amazon wouldn't want to sell your book. A book II...very exciting...and another review then? You just can't get the editors these days can you? Lol! I will write you a review of book II, so get that editor out of the garden into your poetry!
