The Queen In The Little Green Hat

Long black skirt
With a black jacket

A white top
With a big white bow
Beneath her chin

Dark stockings
Black dress shoes
Freshly polished

Dark black hair
With just a flavor of gray
Laced in

She had light red lipstick
With just a touch of rouge

And to top it all off
She had this little green hat
Placed exactly where she wanted it
Pinned so it wouldn’t move

As they entered the burger king
You could tell
They were mother, daughter and granddaughter

She was beautiful
Not so much in the way she looked
But in the pride she took
In the way she looked

With every little hair in place
She lookedt as beautiful
As the sunshine

Back straight
Shoulders back
She walks like deity
Because she is

Long live the queen
In the little green hat

The Queen

First I promise I won't give myself stars today lol. I will be the first to admit that I am short on brains but long on charm. I clicked on the stars last time without thinking lol. This poem really just tells what I saw one day while I was sitting at a table eating my lunch. I hope you like it. hobo

Fabulous Hobo

Usually after I've read a poem I click on the stars first before I comment, in case I forget. So I know what you mean when you accidentally gave yourself stars. I love this; it’s a lovely observation of a nice family outing. Just a couple of wee typos……… With just a {flavor} of gray ………[flavour] She {lookedt} as beautiful …………[ you accidentally typed a `t` after looked} Xena

Hobo

Cute little poem here with a couple of tidy ups for you. I think the format was a bit off some and some small typos to fix. She (looked) That queen in the Burger King with the little green hat now just what did she order to eat so as not to mess up her tidy ole self.lol I just had to smile at the ending and made me laugh. Good job Randy Mona xoxo

For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.-Ivan Panin")
