Highway Jack / Hades

Part one

Jack  began life without a name
wailing babe upon the poor house steps
survived to adulthood on grool and thievery

One night while fleeing the scene
of his latest robbery
he hitched stagecoach ride to doom

On that fatal journey
 dark Viola seduced him
took him in fond embrace
sunk her teeth into  youthful vein

The pounding of hooves receded
his heart rate diminished
hallucinations of loves lost
torture he cried out  in vain

Transfusion found at Viola's breast
the world rushed in
to the rhythm of the Stagecoach wheels
bloodless human husk  remained

Merciless vampire lovers
on the rampage
created carnage
far and wide

Passer by loses life
Jack aquires a steed
by the name of Hades
Unholy allience
horseman and equine

Then one fateful night
Stagecoach held at musket point
past and true self collide

AVERY MUCH A WORK IN PROGRESS ,( I PLAN TO  WRITE A THREE PART ,SERIES OF POEMS ABOUT THE VAMPIRE HIGHWAYMAN, OF WHICH THIS THE FIRST AND SECOND)

Part 2

Apparition upon the brow of a hill
ebony stallion, nostrils flaring
hooves sparking off each stone

Stagecoach races to it’s destination
driver shivering with dread
eyes scouring the horizon

A roar explodes from the Hades’ chest
piercing whinny rends the air
thunderous hooves clash

Pillage and annihilation
godforsaken stagecoach
on bleak highway

Viola voults atop the nag
wraps her arms about ,Highway Jack
onto the next coach stop

Dear Lou

Very imaginary. There’s a few spelling errs. If you’d like help with them, just let me know. I’ve noticed that with some people they get a little annoyed when I try to help. So I thought it best to ask first. Rosina xena465

Vampire Highwayman...

Novel idea, and good subject. I am still not tired of vampires. I read Bram Stoker's Dracula when I was 13 yrs. and am still fascinated by vampires, after all these yrs. It took me 3 days to read 600 and some pages, I couldn't put it down! My mother pleaded with me to go out and do something outside, or to turn out the light, and go to sleep, and not to read at the table! LOL ~ Gee xx
