Lighting the Darkness

I watch the miracle
of a brand new day,
I get on my knees
on stone, I do pray

for a merciful god
to look out for you,
when things get hard?
you look to say adieu

woven into your veins
is streaming pure light,
its your beautiful soul
that lights up the night

I watched as you waned
and thought to be beat,
but your spirit was strong
getting right to your feet

I love you with heart
I never thought to possess,
I fight with you my friend
no matter how bad the mess

I have to say goodbye
just for a short while,
but I leave you with a hug
and the broadest of smiles

As I said above this ones for a mate who really is having a buggar of a time lost her father and then found out breast cancer she thought she'd beaten was back ... its looking at her that makes me realise that I aint so bad off ... I am not Angry Gee thats the difference lol I have been as angry as one person can get and thats not me normally its been coming through my writes something horrid lol (and not because of Neopoet, something outside of here) ...
