The Memo

The universe winks on and off

we are and we are not.

When we are we are

and when we’re not

we’re god with past and future

bound inexorably to present.

Where we've been where we're going

threaded through the now

with knots of discovery.

In the place blessed to me

in the era when

the moon perfectly fit the sun,

I was allocated my most profound lesson.

From my triumph to my albatross.

Tables turned,

castles collapsed.

Fairy kisses keened quietly

to remind me to

lift the veils of illusion

and return to the source.

About This Poem

About the Author

Region, Country: Western Australia, AUS

Favorite Poets: Favourite poets? So many, so varied. I like particular songs, not necessarily the singer... and the same goes for poetry. I can honestly say though, that Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman was what inspired my love of poetry - my mother began reading it to me when I was still a baby, and it became my favourite bedtime story

hi jc

thank you so much mate. it still needs some tweaks - i've changed a couple of words even now - as it was one of those 'free thinking' ones and i still want another stanza or something to better connect the first two verses. thanks for the supportive comments. love and hugs across the simpson :) judd xxx http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/TwentyMyPrettyPonies.html

I absolutely love this!

I absolutely love this! Truly. I can idenfity so deeply with the theme. Very spiritual. It moves me. An the writing style... Do you know Viggo Mortensen´s poetry? I worhship it, almost, and your writing style reminds me of his. I say this in a good way! Great poem.

thank you so much ana

no i'm afraid i'm not so learned as to know of Viggo Mortensen's work, but i'm honoured that you think i write like a poet you admire. i will definitely look him up. i've added a line, trying to tie the first two verses more firmly to the following ones, but it still doesn't say what i want it to. thank you for visiting and for your lovely comments. love judy xxx http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/TwentyMyPrettyPonies.html
