The Calm Before the Storm

In the distance the thunder rollsAs the wind makes its presence knownThe leaves on the trees nervously awaitOnce again, to be helplessly thrown The flowers bow down to the winds mighty handAs the birds look for some place to hideThe angry clouds are all gathered in forceTo deliver its vengeance inside The sun now imprisoned, it fights to be freeBut its victory is no where in sightThe clouds are too many, for the sun to defeatAnd together they smother its light The very earth begins to shiver and shakeAt the sound of the thunders deep voiceIt begs for mercy and for the suns interventionBut the clouds give the sunshine no choice Then the silence is deafening as the sun breaks throughAnd the thunder is made to conformBut it's only an illusion, the clouds use to deceiveThe calm before the storm

Nice

A very descriptive poem you have written. Your choice of wording is the key. The angry clouds are all gathered in force wouldn't that sentence still hold it's meaning if you left the word all off? Chrys
