Window"s

 Snow swirls in early dusk
to blanket an open plain
ice retakes image's
in brilliant reflections

like shards of broken glass
peering out to welcome each
visitors are held  enchanted
on the  edge of this hillside

residing just below Highland cliffs
painting memories in the mind of
summer warmth a  foolish love
kept with schemes of our youth

as visions take us to a fire burning
in thoughts of this old place
where the flames furl in comforting
an awe soothing souls wanting

as memories burst imaginations grasp
in stories or words that we now hear
starting follies of ventures recaptured
filled to the brim laughter ringing

out loud waking a conscience of healing
in the arms of yesterday's sleeping hopes
as this madness abounds held within
a new depth of living  saved in the meeting

of one's childhood yearnings on this eve
a journey that has taken us past the voices
of this beginning we once lived and breathed
now revised we meet with the help of a  friend.
