STRANDED SEAMAN

STRANDED SEAMAN Captain Charles like Robinson CrusoeWe were told, sailed with his crew on a shipDeeper, down south into the oceanOn a gripping trade route to the eastBut monsoon blew them farther westStranded, they finally found a landAnchored the vessel to stretch their legsLong restricted, by partial space in the shipThey ran to the hills to view the horizonSome, into the forest for games and hunts Into the woods, the helmsman wentIn search of flowers and fruitsFound apples, bananas, mangoes and pearsAnd brought along flames of the forestWith excitement to share his findsHe went back to meet with his teamBehold! The ship had sailed awayHis family, taken by pirates, he was aloneThe land beckoned for a new beginningBut the sea took everything away

A reflective narrative...

It tries to portray a common situation here where homes and relationships are split up leaving either the man or the woman stranded. Thank you for the comments and for your goodwill, best wishes. T.

Your reflectives

Truly a piece of thought and awe. I got that feeling as I read this piece and I can so feel the essence in the words you chose. Great job here and will be back to read you. Give me some time to catch up. Truly a good reflective write. I also like to write this way too. Peace my friend Mona ooxo

Thank you...

Sometime, the things we write about come out of a very painful experience. May be, it is the writing that help to soothe the pains. Thank you for the comments and for everything. I am glad you like it. Best wishes. T.

I could not agree with you more

It is true not all what we write is lovely, beautiful, fancy, light. There are other areas in which our poetry or story comes from and all in good time it appears and is shared. I like this one and I agree sometimes our writing tells a very true story of a life once lived or is living now. Peace to you friend Mona
