People Like Me

This time don't make it sound this sad
The situation isn't actually all this bad

Too much drama won't do no good I have been told
But did you ever feel like you're heart's been sold

'Cause if you haven't ever been there
Don't bother judging what defines unfair

And have you ever felt like your soul's been taken away
Did you ever feel like you don't wanna' see another day

Mostly it's people like you telling me not go overboard
Except, a long time ago I made my piece with the lord

So please forget about fixing me
For the things you simply cannot see

The thought of spending time by yourself is nowhere near
You're too much of cowards to actually let in the fear

If you did, instantly you'd get off your horse
Enlightment, the name of this beautiful force

Shouldn't have to make use of another letter
Really painfully obvious that no one is better

We're all only humans in the end
So what's your reason to offend

Your own brothers and sisters you kill
Truly your very blood you're willing to spill

'Just the way it is', so tired of hearing this
Clearly between the lines there's something you miss

Speed up the process and start making amends
Change the world with your own two hands

Hello there...

...just stopping by to say; your poem is insightfully beautiful! These are my favourite lines: "So please forget about fixing me For the things you simply cannot see The thought of spending time by yourself is nowhere near You’re too much of cowards to actually let in the fear If you did, instantly you’d get off your horse Enlightment, the name of this beautiful force" And I love it all.
