Jeju Naval Base Protest Poem (Need Help)

build your base

construct a concrete hypocrisy

on honest sand now

squiggling carelessly between

children’s toes to grin up

at jeju’s extravagant sky

block by seductive block a tetris

game of battleships stacked

tight against a peace until

complete and in a flash

a  name sake vanish

we can stuff the oreums

with missiles massive in

their sheath to accessorize

the waist of a virulent destroyer

cause oooo aaaaa

when sun reflects off that

metal skin to blind a magpie

or boils my gimchee in a

skillet on the dock where

bare arms and laughter stop

I know I’m at peace

when the lethal injection in

this tranquil island shreds

the chains of peace in blindness

freeing us to anew aggression

when sunsets are cut by

razor blade silhouettes of

warships bleeding the horizon

of the spiritual oranges warm

reds and understanding purples

I know we’ll have gone to far

with the mercury of war  and

question whats the value of another

thorn on a pacific  rose
