I cried tonight

Words spoken hurt
Expressions of the face
Contortion in the throat

The right song provokes
Replays of actions
Eyes swell

Sobs erupt from throat
Steam from eyelids
Pain in chest

I know I was wrong
I beat myself up
I regret my actions

Forgiveness I beg
Loneliness consumes
Thinking of you.

“Lately sorry has been a word I’ve used a lot towards you, and I know that it's not enough. I hope that the tears that have fallen are the last of this sort, because I need you in my life, and I need the happiness you provide, I love you.” Alex owings

Dear sunscreen, I know so much how you feel

That last paragraph hit me in the heart, I've said sorry so often. What can we do? Three choices. Stop hurting them. Make amends and stop hurting them. Or, possibly most significantly, move to a relationship that doesn't cause mutual pain. This is not the sort of comment I usually give, it's normally about form and structure, but you touched me and had to say what I did. The poem is bleakly honest, but not great poetry, it is the feeling that carries it. And please please please drop the bold in the opening stanza, it is a cheap device. Cheers, Jess, Reprehensibly irrepressible, "the alleged short-cut to knowledge, which is faith, is only a short-circuit destroying the mind." [Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged]

Thank you :) I know that

Thank you :) I know that this poem is not up to par with the rest as it is hard to cry, and write at the same time, so emotion is all it carries. As to the relationship, we are over the fight. My gratitude for the advice, and the great comment, as I know its out of your critiquing manner.
