I DO NOT OWN YOU

 I DO NOT OWN YOU

"I do not own you"

I Love you like the songs of birds I love,

you do not have to love me too,

I do not own you,

I do not own anyone or anything,

I love you like the love of trees and breezes,

like the summer clouds that decorate the blue

of skies at dawn,

at night,

so subtle in their hues

so too the skies of days gone grey

their simple bliss

I love you just like this;

and without you,

they loose their glancing wonders,

they turn so black and without colours, dulled;

those precious moments in our lives that shine

and carry on their glow long after you are gone;

they sing their special individual song again,

and yet again,

just as when spring birds

join the choir and chant their melodies,

their old refrain rings true,

and jogs the memories anew,

to fill all sad parts,

and make our hearts remember,

even when its late,

and the year has reached september

warning of the winters cold and damp,

the thought of you,

my special friend, arises,

and fills my sense of being with new surprises,

so beautiful and warmed by your good cheer,

throughout the years of our acquaintance,

never fear that I should take advantage

of your solitude,

your own secret place of joy,

you can be mine without consent

or choices, and I content, will give a little sigh.

I remember a saying poster in grade school

"If you love something set it free" what golden knowledge this man the greatest possesor I love this poem Anne what great wisdom and sadness too yes to covet what we value as treasure to want to hold it forever the special feeling and to ultimately let this go oh oh I would wish for one thing to sit beside you at a lake with birchs forest behind and talk with you Y our soul I feel radiates warmth goodness electric sensibilities and yet we do this here this connectedness across the great oceans breadth (now theres an old word) I never knew I would grow up and grow into this man I am now and yet I did and we immerse ourselves into lives and life flowing like time like a river turbulent at one falls and then simmering in the pools of collected swirl My anne what poems you craft Esker~

Oh sweet Steven of the wild lakes and Canadian

Ann of Norway Oh sweet Steven of the wild lakes and Canadian prairies, the forests and the crashing waterfalls, the industry of man and the leather straps of passion; you invite little me to sit beside a Norwegian lake, the collected swirl of our words mixing in companionship and understanding, I would love to do that with you. Your poetry has such feeling for nature and and the nature of the human mind and sense of being, that it would be a privilege to meet you my Steven. I cannot call you my box! (Esker-N.) although that's boxes!!!!! But I could put you in my box, I collect so many fascinating things, and here in Neopoets am even starting to collect fascinating people too!!!! Although none of them to OWN! Yes love is beyond jealousy, if one can achieve that then one is at peace with the world, I don't say that I am good at it but am learning, and felt it so.

Oh Sir Geezer the first

Ann of Norway You know, and know how to express what you know my dear devoted knight of the realm, that's the understanding all good knights should be armed with, all soldiers in this life and I am well pleased that you should be the most important knight in my Queendom; for this I throw a white flower of peace and joy to you, and may its perfumes reach your nostrils and give you and your wife joy. Ann.

A treasure...

the wisdom learned in her majesty's presence. The aroma of life, made all the sweeter by your gift. ~ Sir Gee and Dame Wendy.
